LWV-MV ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT

Each February the LWV-MV, the NAACP, ASALH, the Martha’s Vineyard Museum and a director of one of the local island libraries collborate to develop an event honoring and celebrating Black History Month.

This year’s program, held on Saturday February 1, 2025 at the Edgartown Library, attendees enjoyed a pot luck brunch and viewed a 40 minute film of Spencer Overton and Ramona Schindelman discussing the unique challenges facing the Black work force.
