LWV-MV ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT

Bonnie Boswell, guest speaker for the program is an award-winning producer/reporter, talk show host and speaker. Ms. Boswell is currently the executive producer/reporter of Bonnie Boswell Reports, a feature news series that airs during PBS NewsHour Weekend on PBS SoCal. Ms. Boswell has been a news reporter for NBC Los Angeles where she developed a weekly feature spot for a top evening news program. She was also the producer/co-host of “Lawson, Live,” a live, call-in political talk show with legendary civil rights leader Pastor James M. Lawson, an associate producer for ABC News’ “20/20,” and the producer of “Positively Black,” an NBC-New York magazine show and broadcast editorialist for NBC-New York.

The program by Dr. Bonnie Boswell was critically insightful, informative, educational and positioned LWV members to better advocate for changes in legislation addressing the disproportionate experience by groups of women with higher mortality rates related to pregnancy and childbirth.
